Beyond the box score: A new read on baseball

My GOAT grandfather George Karp, a prolific author and insightful no baselines commentator, published Baseball: A Humorous Commentary on the National Pastime which is a witty and engaging exploration of America's favorite sport. In this refreshing take on baseball history, he cleverly navigates the age-old debate of the greatest player of all time by proposing that players can only be fairly compared to their contemporaries. This approach acknowledges the significant changes in the sport from its early days to the present, offering a nuanced perspective on player achievements.

With a blend of extensive research and humor, he selects the best hitter and pitcher from each decade, while also highlighting "Important and Not So Important Events" of the period

I may be slightly partial but believe that his book can appeal to a wide audience for both die-hard fans and those new to the sport. I look forward to spending the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday discussing the book with my thoughtful and humorous GOAT grandfather and celebrated author.
